Each link searches for a MIDI of the track and opens it in Wario Synth. Pick a source, hit Generate, and it plays as 8-bit Game Boy chiptune. Save it as WAV or MIDI if you like it.

Why Wario

The name started as a joke about a synthesis engine that's loud, greedy and slightly wrong. It stuck. The engine itself is generic: it takes any MIDI, splits melody, bass, chords and drums, and maps them to the four channels of the original Game Boy. Wario just happens to be its mascot — and his games had some of the best chip music Nintendo ever shipped.

FAQ

Is this official Nintendo music?
No. Wario Synth is a non-commercial fan project. It searches public MIDI transcriptions and re-synthesises them; nothing is hosted here.

Why does a track sound wrong?
MIDI transcriptions vary. Pick a different source in the results list — some are much better than others.

Can I get the file?
Yes. After Generate, Save Audio gives you a WAV and Save MIDI gives you the 4-channel arrangement.

What about non-Wario songs?
Anything. Type any song title on the home page.
