Start with a song

Wario Synth is a free online Game Boy-style music maker for existing MIDI songs. Search by title or upload your own MIDI. No account or installation needed.

1. Find a MIDI. Search for a song and choose a source, or upload a .mid or .midi file.
2. Play it in 8-bit. Press Play 8-bit version. Preview the original to hear the difference.
3. Save a clip. Save 30s WAV downloads up to the first 30 seconds. For searched songs, Copy link lets someone else play it.

Bring your own melody

Write your notes in a MIDI editor or music app, export a MIDI file, then upload it here. Clear melodies and simple bass lines are a useful starting point. Dense arrangements may lose parts when mapped to the synth.

FAQ

Can I write notes here?
No. Wario Synth converts and plays MIDI files. It does not have a piano roll, sequencer or live keyboard input.

Can I upload a recording?
Use a .mid or .midi file up to 10 MB. MP3 and WAV recordings are not supported.

Is this WarioWare DIY?
No. It is an independent fan project, not a Nintendo game or an official Nintendo tool.
